Today is a day of celebration and service. Our brilliant style icon, the First Lady of The United States, Michelle Obama turned 47 years old today. Woo-hoo!! Let's hear it for the CAPRICORNS!!!!

Mrs. Obama will join President Obama for a National Day of Service project in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King. I wonder if the President plans to whisk his First Lady away for a birthday dinner date this evening?

Happy Birthday Michael!!

Today Michael Jackson would have been 52 years old. I still have a hard time believing he’s gone. His life should be celebrated so I won’t turn this into a sad post. Today I’ll blast his music, dance, laugh at my dreams of marrying him (trust me, I was determined to be Mrs. Michael Jackson, lol!), and remember the fun I had hanging his posters on my bedroom walls.

So Michael wherever you are, I hope you feel the love from all your fans not just today but everyday. Thank you for the amazing larger than life entertainment. Your life and your music were not in vain.

How winners were chosen:
Contestant names were written on small pieces of paper, tossed into a hat and shaken up. I carried the hat over to my neighbor's and asked her to reach in the hat and pick three names (Yes, my neighbor looked at me like I was a little weird but so what, I buy the candy bars her kids sell.)
