I'm beginning to think that I like presentations better than runway shows. Don't get me wrong, runway shows are super exciting, but I like the intimacy of presentations. Or maybe it's just that the Christian Cota's Fall/Winter 2010 Collection was beyonddddd amazing so my opinion was easily swayed. Cota quoted the Cubans as the main influence to the line, and I was feeling like I was in a "femme-bot" scene in Austin Powers. Futuristic meets retro. Sick. Period. And I especially liked the choice in shoes and tights!

Falls Fall 2010 Collection Presentation in the White Room at the Soho House

Getting an invitation to a fashion presentation at a members-only club during Fashion Week? Come on, this was a no brainer! Plus, I'm totally falling for Falls' Fall 2010 Collection and was even able to steal away one of the designers to have a chat! The collection was inspired by the 1920s model and photographer, Lee Miller. She was the girlfriend of Man Ray and her tomboy spirit crossed with her super feminine taste is certainly captured throughout the collection! Leon, the designer, describes it as "liberated, creative, courageous, and multi-talented." Definitely worth checking out this new line! Keep an eye out for it!
